How do you keep the Christmas spirit in your business? This time of year we focus on our families, gifts, parties, decorations. I so love this time of year. I love my house when it is decorated with all the lovely lights. People seem to be happier, have a bit more pep in their step. Of course, this is not true for everyone.

There is a sense of momentum and speed this time of year as well. We go from Thanksgiving to Christmas at breakneck speed. How can you celebrate Christmas within your business?

  1. Send Christmas cards/greetings- Send Out Cards has a great program for helping you with this, makes it fun and easy. You can use this opportunity to thank them personally for doing business with you or something that you really appreciate about the person. “Dear Jerry, Thanks so much for making that intro to Elaine for me. We have been able to work together on a project” Or I really appreciate the value that you add to each networking meeting…….Get creative and find a way to genuinely appreciate those in your Center of Influence.
  2. Show your generosity – There are so many charities who are in need of donations and time this time of year. Find one or two that you can really give your effort and energy to and give to those who have so much less than you and in doing so remember to be thankful for all that you have. CoWork Landing is collecting donations for ECHO of Brandon this year. Items needed: ramen noodles, stuffing, powdered milk, flavored rice, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, full-size shampoo. We have a collection box, so feel free to drop off donations here anytime!
  3. Run specials and offers this time of year. People are willing to spend money, so incent them to spend with you!
  4. Make your online presence festive! Your social media posts and responses can have a hint of the season and of your Christmas spirit.

Remember that people run businesses. Small business owners make up 89% of businesses in this country. So, when you are shopping for gifts or services, shop local when you can. I know Amazon is easy and they ship directly but when you buy from a small business owner you are supporting a DREAM!

Kids are about to be home for 2 weeks. If you need to get out of the house, consider Coworking!
